The West Coast Expressway (WCE) is a privatization project approved by the government to WCE. The project operates a build-transfer-transfer model and is expected to be completed in five years time. The WCE commences at a junction with Selangor State Road (FT31) which runs from Banting, Selangor and ends at the ramp of Changkat Jering toll plaza of the North-South Expressway at Taiping, Perak
It is planned and designed in such a way so that it is well-connected to the existing highway such as PLUS, SKVE, NKVE NNKSB, LATAR, KESAS, etc. in order to maximize its coverage and gives the road user more options while travelling. The entire expressway with 21 interchanges will provide convenience to users to plan and travel more efficiently
